The 87th Anaheim Supercross is the final SX in Calif. of 2026.
A2 2025: Lawrence Wins, Roczen Leads
Jett Lawrence led the last eight to secure his first win of 2025 (and 9th career 450SX win) but Ken Roczen’s second place, gave him ownership of the red plate. After Anaheim 2, he was the only rider with three top five finishes to start the season.
Roczen’s red plate held significance because it meant he tied Jeremy McGrath for most individual seasons with the points lead (8).McGrath won the championship in 7 of those 8 seasons.
A2 2025: Haiden Deegan fuels the rivalry
Haiden Deegan told himself he had to win the Anaheim 2 Supercross and on lap one (pictured) he showed Julien Beamer how little interest he had in second place. Deegan led all 18 laps of the main event for his fourth career 250SX win.
The podium of Deegan (19), Beaumer (18), and Cole Davies (17) was the first all-teen top three since Arlington 2011. Jordon Smith’s last-lap-full-send crash (trying to pass Beaumer) handed Davies his first career podium finish.
Drew Adams makes his Supercross debut
Sixteen year old Drew Adams made his pro debut at Anaheim 2, filling in for injured Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Ty Masterpool (who was a fill-in for Levi Kitchen). Adams won 3 SMX Next races (formerly SX Futures) in 2024 and was expected to compete in SMX Next through 2025.
He qualified 8th overall and finished 8th in the main event. Adams may be the last ever 16 year old to race SX as a fully licensed professional. Riders must be 17 in 2026 and 18 starting in 2027.
