San Francisco 2024

RD 2 | Oracle Park

Returning to the tour for the first time in a generation, San Francisco’s Oracle Park hosted eight rounds of Monster Energy Supercross between 2003-2010, when the venue was called Pacific Bell Park and AT&T Park. This is the earliest appearance for San Fran, which was most often round four.

Chase Sexton, 2024 San Francisco Supercross
450SX Winner: Chase Sexton

In a battle for survival, Chase Sexton led the 2024 San Francisco Supercross wire to wire. The defending champion won his first main event for the Red Bull KTM team after an incredible start and a smooth performance. Just like in the 250 class, the previous week’s winner finished 9th, as Jett Lawrence struggled. The phenom was lapped late in the race after several mistakes, an uncharacteristic showing from the #18. In his 4th season in the class, Sexton has his best start to a season. He holds a 7 point lead in the standings heading into San Diego.

Jordon Smith, 2024 San Francisco
250SX Winner: Jordon Smith

Jordon Smith took advantage of the muddy conditions in San Francisco to secure his first win in nearly six years. Last winning at Detroit in 2018 while racing for the Troy Lee Designs KTM squad, Smith has gone 2-1 in the first two rounds of the series and holds a 5 point lead over Levi Kitchen, who was 2nd. RJ Hampshire struggled after his Anaheim 1 victory, managing a 9th place effort. Smith is now 9 points ahead of the pre-season title favorite.
