2025 Fox Raceway

RD 1 | Pala, CA

For the 5th consecutive year, the Pro Motocross Championship begins at Fox Raceway in Pala, California.

2025 Rd. 1: Jett Lawrence makes it 8

Jett Lawrence (1-1) returned to racing just three months after knee surgery and opened the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship with (yet) another victory to keep his perfect overall win record at Fox Raceway. He’s now won 8 of 8 races there. In the 450 class alone, he’s 6/6 in motos and 91/91 in laps led.

Eli Tomac (4-2) also returned to racing and hounded Lawrence for the first 25 minutes of the second moto before fading 11 seconds back.

2025 Rd 1: Haiden Deegan Wins 250MX

Haiden Deegan (1-1) didn’t set the fastest (or 2nd fastest) laps of either moto at the 2025 Fox Raceway National but he wore down his competition around the halfway point each time out and convincingly won for the second year in a row at what he considers his home track. It’s his 8th career win.

Joe Shimoda (2-2) finished second overall, the best opening round finish of his career. Tom Vialle (4-3) earned the exact same finish as 2024; Julien Beamer (5-4) earned his first top 5.

2011 Ryan Villopoto at Pala Raceway
2011: Ryan Villopoto's first 450MX title

While 2010 was the year of Ryan Dungey, it was Ryan Villopoto who took home both premier class championships in 2011. Villopoto sharpened his skills by battling with Ryan Dungey and Chad Reed throughout the year.

Entering the finale at Fox Raceway (then called Pala Raceway), Villopoto had a 14 point gap over Dungey, and took 3-1 scores (2nd overall to Dungey) to win his first of two 450MX Pro Motocross titles.
