The 2025 Indianapolis Supercross is the first 250SX E/W Showdown of the season and is also the St. Jude “Love Moto Stop Cancer” race. Jett Lawrence won the 2024 Indy SX with perfect 1-1-1 scores in the Triple Crown event. Cameron McAdoo won the 250SX East division.
Wire to Wire Webb
In his 8 previous Indianapolis starts, Cooper Webb hadn’t led as much as a single lap but in 2025 he led them all in a rare (and unchallenged) wire to wire win. Justin Barcia grabbed a big holeshot, the 10th different rider this season, but Webb passed for the lead at the end of the first lap. Webb’s 28th career win ties him with Ricky Johnson for 8th on the all-time wins list.
Ken Roczen’s hopes of gaining points went *poof* in the middle of the first turn when Jason Anderson fell, blocking Roczen who was already mid-pack. Roczen finished 7th. Chase Sexton fell in the sand while running second and handed the runner-up spot to Justin Cooper, who became the 8th different 450 rider to get on the podium.
Seth Hammaker ends the drought
Seth Hammaker holeshot and led all 19 laps to win the 2025 Indianapolis Supercross, which also happened to be an East/West Showdown. It was Hammaker’s second career 250SX victory and it came 3 years, 360 days after his first win (Arlington 1, 2021). After suffering from food poisoning in Detroit (17th). Hammaker is now 3rd in points, 11 behind leader, Tom Vialle. Â
Max Anstie, who has trended worse in each round, lost the points lead to Vialle, who has trended better each round. Haiden Deegan was third, the top finishing West Division rider.
