Glendale SX 2025

RD04 | State Farm Stadium

Glendale is the first Triple Crown of 2025 and also the opening round of the SMX Next (Futures) championship. Ken Roczen was the 2024 450SX winner, RJ Hampshire win 250SX West.

This will be the 4th time Glendale has hosted a Triple Crown. Eli Tomac has won the Glendale SX 5 times.

Chase Sexton Wins the Glendale Triple Crown

With 3-3-2 scores, Chase Sexton edged out Cooper Webb (1-5-3) and Ken Roczen (4-1-5) for the Glendale Supercross overall and retook the red plate. He’s the first two-time winner of the series and his results continue to defy his 7.3 average holeshot position.

Sexton’s Glendale start positions were 7-13-3 but he left Glendale two points ahead of Roczen (he entered the event -3 points)

What a Triumph!

With 2-3-1 scores, Jordon Smith earned his fifth career 250SX win but, more noteworthy, he put the Triumph TF 250-X atop the winner’s circle less than one year after the bike debuted at the 2024 Detroit Supercross.

It only took 13 SX starts for Triumph to get its first win and Smith left Glendale just two points behind leader, Julien Beaumer.

Jett Lawrence DNFs at Glendale.

After finishing 2-2 in the first two Glendale Triple Crown races, Jett Lawrence withdrew from Race 3 before reaching turn two. Lawrence stuck out his right leg for balance and the impact and rotation was enough to cause an ACL and meniscus injury that sent him riding off the track in obvious pain.

Two days later, Honda announced Lawrence would undergo ACL surgery and miss the rest of the SX season. “Recovery prognosis unknown”.
