Chase Sexton Rebounds
After a five race winless streak, Chase Sexton (1-1-2) won the Birmingham Supercross, his 12th career 450SX win. He tied David Bailey and Ezra Lusk for 19th all-time and cut Cooper Webb’s points lead in half. Webb entered BHM +15 and left +8.
Webb (7-4-1 for 4th) fell on the opening lap of TC1, which put him in a hole at the start of the night. Malcolm Stewart (3-2-3) overcame a qualifying crash to earn second, his 2nd podium of the season.
Nate Thrasher Pleads the 5th!
Nate Thrasher won the Birmingham Supercross with 3-3-2 scores, his 6th career 250SX win.Thrasher, still recovering from surgery on his broken right middle finger became the 5th different winner in 5 rounds of 250SX East Division racing and got, not only his first win of the season, but his first top 5!
Tom Vialle extended his points lead to +10 but still hadn’t won a race. He was, however, the only rider top 5 all 5 rounds.
