A cornerstone of the Pro Motocross schedule since 1977, High Point Raceway is carved into a southwestern Pennsylvania farmland valley. In 2008, it switched from a Memorial Day weekend event to Father’s Day weekend.
For the second time this season, Haiden Deegan (1-1) won qualifying and both motos to record yet another perfect day. They were his 18th and 19th career moto wins and his 10th overall victory. With a +42 point lead, he has the 4th largest points lead ever after four rounds.
Tom Vialle (4-2) got his best finish of the season with a second overall. Levi Kitchen (2-6) was third for a third consecutive week.
…Jett Lawrence still wins. Even a moto 2 storm that cost most riders their goggles and ended the race with 7:02 left on the clock (red flag, lightning) couldn’t stop Lawrence from winning his 19th career 450MX overall. Lawrence finished the first lap in 9th and didn’t secure the win until he passed Aaron Plessinger (3-4) on the 9th (and, ultimately, final) lap.
Eli Tomac (5-1) won his 70th career moto and finished 3rd overall while Hunter Lawrence (2-2) missed the overall win by just one point.
