The newest venue on the Pro Motocross circuit, this will be the 11th time the series has visited Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Chase Sexton: 1-1 and Champion

Chase Sexton (1-1) won his 7th 450 Pro Motocross of the season, his 6th consecutive and wrapped up the championship after moto one.

Aaron Plessinger (2-2) led three laps of moto 1 but wasn’t able to hold off his teammate. Plessinger finished third in the championship with 32 points to spare over Justin Cooper (6-4), who pulled the second moto holeshot.

Hunter Lawrence (3-6) finished 4th overall, just his second time off the overall podium all season. Hunter ended his rookie 450MX season ranked second overall. He pulled 7 holeshots, led 97 laps (second in class) and won three motos.

Eli Tomac (4-3) earned his 72nd career 450MX podium. He’s second behind Ricky Carmichael (84).

Tom Vialle Wins Second Career Pro MX

Tom Vialle (1-4) won his second career 250 Pro Motocross overall, 14 months after his first. Vialle was a championship favorite coming into the season but fell behind early when he couldn’t match Haiden Deegan’s consistency.

Vialle led laps in 8 of the 22 motos but, unfortunately, only won three of those motos. He entered the final round third in the points, trailing Levi Kitchen (2-35) by 14 in the but moved into second when Kitchen twisted his knee on lap three of the second moto and DNF-ed.

Haiden Deegan (11-1) fell on the first lap of the first moto but battled Vialle and Hymas hard for the win (and final overall podium spot) in the second moto.

Chance Hymas (6-2) finished second overall.

The Debut of Drew

Sixteen year old Drew Adams (15-11) made his professional debut at Ironman and scored 18 points on his way to 12th overall. The Team Green rider from Chattanooga, TN ran #593, the same digits as Robbie Reynard, another young Kawasaki prospect from a generation ago.

Other stories from the Pro Motocross finale included Ken Roczen’s (9-12 for 9th) return to the 250MX class for the first time since 2013. Roczen was second in qualifying and ran top five early in the motos before fading back.

Also, big day for KTM. Not only did they clinch the 450MX title, but also wrapped up the manufacturer’s cup. Julien Beaumer (8-30) was crowned rookie of the year (11th in the points) and the KTM overall sweep was the brand’s first since Ironman 2014!
