Nashville

Moto in the Music City has a very short history, dating back to 2019 when Eli Tomac (450SX) and Martin Davalos (250SX East) won the first Supercross main events ever held in the Volunteer State. The Nashville round took a four year break before returning in 2023 as round 15.

Fast Facts

Nashville’s Venue

Every Supercross held in the city of Nashville has been run inside Nissan Stadium, an open air football venue, home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. It opened in August 1999 and seats just over 69,000 spectators.

Iconic Moments

With just two races held, they’re all iconic!

2019: Eli Tomac goes Beast Mode

Eli Tomac won the inaugural Nashville Supercross after finishing the first lap of the main event in 11th place. It only took him seven minutes to pass into the lead and he left Tennessee -21 to Cooper Webb with three rounds remaining.

Marvin Musquin crashed in the whoops on lap 2 while trying to pass the leader, Webb. Joey Savatgy took over 2nd but fell, tweaked his wrist and DNF-ed. Ken Roczen ran into Savatgy and rebounded for 8th.

2023: Hunter Lawrence, 250SX E champ

23-year-old Australian Hunter Lawrence won his 7th race of the season and clinched his first U.S. championship, ending a long injury-filled slog that began in 2019.

“Everyone that is with me now was with me at my lowest of lows,” Lawrence said. “I can’t say I dreamed of this as a kid because I didn’t know it was possible. I’m choked up. This is just surreal.”

2023: Sexton wins, Webb out

Chase Sexton won Nashville 2023 but this race will be remembered as the one that eliminated Cooper Webb. Webb was -11 pts to Eli Tomac but suffered a concussion in his heat when he fell in a corner and Adam Cianciarulo ran into his head.

Halfway into the main, Sexton passed Tomac, without a fight. Tomac left Nashville +18 with two to go. The series also lost Justin Barcia, who was injured early in the main event.
