Jett’s All-Time MX Ranks
Next Milestones:
- 2 more overall wins to tie 5th all-time Bob Hannah (27). Earliest to achieve this is High Point.
- 2 more moto wins to tie 6th all-time Bob Hannah (48). This could be achieved in Thunder Valley.
Successful Brothers
Hunter and Jett Lawrence are (no question) the best brother duo in the history of the sport, but they are not the first to have success. Here’s a look at those brother duos with at least 1 Pro Motocross overall or moto win between them.
Pro Motocross Stats – Premier Class
- The Grossi’s have the most balanced success, Bill having 1 overall win and 3 moto wins and Bob have 1 overall win and 2 moto wins.
- The Lawrences, Stewarts, Alessis, and Grossis have the most balanced starts.
- While Jett Lawrence (25) has a lot more overall wins than Hunter Lawrence (2), their podiums (27 vs. 19) are fairly even.
Pro Motocross Stats – 125/250MX
The 3 top brothers in the ‘small bike’ class each have a debatable reason for the being the best duo.
- James Stewart carries the Stewart duo with by far the most successful small bike career in the history of the sport having won 28 of 31 overalls and 2 of 3 titles!
- The Lawrence brothers won three combined titles.
- The Martin brothers had longevity and the most podiums – and we’ll never forget Jeremy Martin’s final moto win in his final moto start at his home track in 2025.
Coenen Brothers: American Vacation
Another set of brothers will be competing in Thunder Valley, this set in different classes
Belgian twin brothers Sacha and Lucas Coenen (19 y/o) are on their way to America for their first career Pro Motocross events.
- They are expected to race Thunder Valley, Southwick and Ironman, Lucas in 450, Sacha in 250).
- Notable: Last weekend in Latvia, they won their respective classes (MXGP and MX2)
- In 2007 at the Grand Prix of Italy, the Pourcel brothers (Christophe and Sebastien) won the MX2 and MXGP overalls, the first brothers to win on the same day in World MX.
- Belgians have been coming to America for decades but a Belgian has never won a Pro Motocross overall (remember that international entries in the very early Pro Motocross days was complicated)
- Clement Desalle is the only Belgian to finish on a Pro Motocross podium (2010, Unadilla). He went 2-2 for 2nd)
- Belgian Roger De Coster, now the race director of the KTM Group, first came to American in the late 1960s.
Lucas Coenen (450MX)
- Current MXGP points leader (+62 over Jeffrey Herlings)
- Has won 4 of the 8 MXGP rounds this season. He’s on a two race win streak (Germany and Latvia)
- Worst finish is 8th (Switzerland)
Sacha Coenen (250MX)
- Current MX2 points leader of MX2 (+37 over Simon Längenfelder)
- Has won 2 of the 8 MX2 rounds this season. Trentino and Latvia.

They’re Back – Pro Circuit has Multiple Winners and could win 3 In A Row
Pro Circuit has had a LOT of bad luck over the last 10 years while their team rival, Star Racing has mostly dominated. The two teams have seen a complete role reversal over the last two decades…
125/250 Titles (250 SX+MX)
- 2006-15. Pro Circuit Kawasaki had 12 titles to Star Racing Yamaha’s 3.
- 2016-Current. Star Racing Yamaha has 17 titles to Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s 2.
As noted, it’s been a stretch of bad luck and results for the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team…
- The last time Pro Circuit started the season with 2 overall wins was 2019 (Adam Cianciarulo who started the season with 4 wins).
- The last time Pro Circuit had two different riders win an overall in the first two rounds was 2011 (Blake Baggett round 1 and Tyla Rattray round 2).
- In the last decade, Pro Circuit has only had two different overall winners 3 times prior to this season…
- 2024 with Levi Kitchen 3x and Ty Masterpool 1x.
- 2017 with Joey Savatgy 3x and Adam Cianciarulo 1x.
- 2016 with Joey Savatgy 3x and Austin Forkner 1x.
- Pro Circuit won at least 1 Supercross or Pro Motocross title from 2005-12 (8 years in a row). They’ve only won 2 titles since (Justin Hill, 2017 250W and Adam Cianciarulo 2019 250MX)
But the 2026 Pro Motocross series looks a bit different two rounds into the series. Seth Hammaker has maintained the red plate, Levi Kitchen has shown best-in-class speed, and fill-in rider Nick Romano has shown flashes of brilliant speed and great starts (but some late race positions lost).

Hammaker’s Momentum Continues
Since moving to Florida before the 2025 season so he could train closer to his family, Seth Hammaker has been delivering career firsts and bests repeatedly.
2025
- It started with the 2025 East division supercross series when he got his 2nd and 3rd career win. He also held the red plate for the first time in his career.
- He continued the momentum tying his career best 7th in the 2025 Pro Motocross season and then 3 podiums in the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals to take 2nd.
2026
- He once again finished 2nd in the 250 East division supercross series a win and a consistent 6 podiums in 10 starts.
- He’s now leading the 2026 Pro Motocross series and holds the red plate for the first time in his Pro Motocross career, along with his first career moto and overall wins.

Justin Cooper – Underrated Consistency
Justin Cooper missed a moto for the first time in his 450MX career; his moto 2 crash at Hangtown caused a complete race restart and Cooper was not on the line when the gate fell again.
Cooper won the 2021 250 East Supercross title and has 12 total wins in the 250 class, but his podium and top consistency nearly every single race is what makes him such a strong competitor.
- In his 250 career (SX+MX), he won 8% of the time and podiumed 56% of the time.
Now 78 starts into his premier class career, he’s still seeking his first win but has been a regular podium visitor and had top 5 consistency.
- He’s been on the podium 12% of the time.
- He’s been top 5 49% of the time (78% in Pro Motocross, specifically)!
