2025 Silly Season

By Fowlers Facts

While it’s only the 15th round (of 31) of the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship, the 2026 contract silly season is underway. Most interesting is just how many contracts are expiring and the potential for significant changes. Note the facts will be thin in this post, the rumors thick. We’re simply aggregating what others are sharing, pontificating, or the murmurs we’ve heard walking thru the pits.

From digging thru the mess that is rumors and hyperbole, we believe there are 7 of 17 factory rides confirmed in the 450’s and 14 of 26 in the 250 class. We pondered adding purse winnings, potential salaries, and bar tabs, but that felt like too much of a stretch for a column called Fast “FACT”.

We believe there are 22 open, unsigned, factory rides for 2026 at the time of publishing this post.

450’s

We estimate 17 factory rides in the premier 450 class and we’ve confirmed 5 are signed with another 2 believed to be signed but not announced. That leaves 10 open seats!

450 Factory Rides & Riders
  • We believe Jett Lawrence has signed with Honda HRC and likely a long-term deal.
  • We believe Hunter Lawrence has also signed with Honda HRC.
  • The big question marks are Eli Tomac (he’s rumored to be exploring many options), Haiden Deegan (expected to stay with Star Racing Yamaha and move up to the 450’s for Pro Motocross in 2026), Ken Roczen, and Jason Anderson.

250’s

We estimate 26 factory rides in the 250 class and we’ve confirmed 13 are signed with 1 other believed to be signed. That leaves 12 open seats!

Haiden Deegan is heavily rumored to be staying with Star Racing Yamaha and headed to the 450 for 2026 Pro Motocross similar to future rival Jett Lawrence in 2023.
250 Factory Rides & Riders

There’s a lot to consider in the 250 class..

  • Haiden Deegan and Levi Kitchen both have contracts expiring at the end of 2025!
  • Tom Vialle is seeking a 450 ride – remember he won two MX2 titles before coming to America.
  • Expect to see RJ Hampshire aboard a Rockstar Energy Husqvarna (or GASGAS). He’s had one helluva 250 career and will likely finish top 3 all-time in podiums and points.
  • And so much more…
